Update

For those who are wondering what the fuss was about last week...
George went in for a "routine" Heart Cath--these procedures usually take between one and three hours and he normally bounces right back afterwards. This time, it took almost five hours and he lost 2 ounces of blood, needed a transfusion, and then had to spend the night. The doctor said they had been super aggressive, since they are desperately trying to expand his pulmonary arteries (the ones that affect his lungs).
This was the first time since his first surgery in '04 that the doctors have come in after and seemed discouraged, and worse, apologetic. For the first time ever, I heard them say, "There's just really not much else we can do..." As you can imagine, my heart plummeted...but you know how it is. You have to pick yourself off the floor and move ahead.
Someone asked me if they had given us a prognosis. I said, "No...we don't want to know." Life is unpredictable, and none of use really knows how long we will be on this Earth. If George has two, ten, or one hundred years left--great!! I just want to enjoy each and every one of them, and make sure he does too, with impending time frame. I want to look back on the kids' lives or my own life and say, "I spent as much time as humanly possible enjoying my children..." We will still be there, as a couple, when they have (god forbid!), moved out!!!! That's what marriage and family is all about...being together.

Our new baby...

Here's the new "Big Daddy" van coming our way...
It's going to need some bumper coverage and a little dab of color!

whew!

I had planned to take Mimi & George to see the musical, "Treasure Island" tonight, when our childcare plans fell through. My first thought was to can the whole idea, but, brave mom that I am, I took ALL FOUR KIDS!!!!! Started at 7:30 (bedtime!), and last until 9:30. They were great!! Natan sang along, but not so loudly that he could be heard, Vincent watched, laughed, and then slept! It was a dress rehearsal, so we didn't bother any paying customers, and the show was GREAT!!!!!
Yes, this is a boring post, but I'm tired and can't sort out all the funny stuff that happens in a day!
